Vehicles in Teardown are a very valuable utility, fulfilling many purposes. Different vehicle classes function with varying degrees of success in each field.
Player Transportation[]
This is the most obvious purpose of vehicles. Due to the large size of most maps in combination with the straining time limit, cars are important tools for shaving precious seconds off of your time or even just finishing in the first place. The effectiveness of cars depends heavily upon the map which they are placed on, with factors such as size and layout changing their influence on an escape route. For example, large maps like Villa Gordon are impossible to complete without using some sort of vehicle, while something like Hollowrock Island can be beat without using any at all.
Cargo Transportation[]
Vehicles can also be used to transport loads heavier than what the Player can carry. This is required in missions with safes or other extremely heavy objects, and specialty vehicles exist for this very reason.
Destruction[]
In Teardown, anything can be used to destroy things. Vehicles are especially good at destroying things. In situations where large obstacles have to be cleared, using a vehicle to destroy said obstacle would be much more efficient than using Tools. The construction and military vehicle classes particularly excel in this regard, being the only machines designed specifically to rip down various buildings. Regular cars can be used but they tend to get damaged very easily.
Vehicle Spawning[]
See Spawn menu.
List of available vehicles[]
This is a list of all of the vehicles currently available in Teardown.
Note: All vehicles are voxel-based and can be destroyed. However, the frame and wheels of these vehicles cannot be destroyed.
Civilian[]
These vehicles are the most common type found in Teardown. They are mostly useful for traversing maps.
These vehicles are the second most common type. They aren't very fast, but they are durable and great at destroying buildings, as well as going off-road.
These vehicles are the rarest type. They are very good at destroying things, but they don't work for much else. In Covert chaos, they are useful for destroying the food court.
These vehicles appear from time-to-time on certain maps. They work great for transporting loads heavier than what the Player can carry, but they don't perform very well outside of that field.
These vehicles are the aquatic counterparts of the Civilian category. The Player moves slowly through water, so these can come in handy on maps with large bodies of water. They aren't very fast though (except for the Speedboat). The only maps without sea vehicles in the Sandbox are Villa Gordon and the Evertides Mall.
