The Utility Truck is one of the many drivable Vehicles in Teardown.
Design[]
The Utility Truck does not appear to be based on any specific model of mobile crane.
Starting from the bottom the machine has a total of 8 wheels, 4 on each side.
The main body is quite long and has a lot more visible features compared to the Excavator. It has a short-cab with a shared windshield, and small windows on both sides. Outriggers are present on all 4 corners of the truck, used for extra stability when lifting very heavy objects. They can be extended with LMB and RMB.
On the back of the truck sits the crane. It functions similarly to the moblie crane but has a few key diffrences. First of all, it is attached to the truck, meaning it can't move on its own. Secondly, the controls are different: A and D turn the crane, W and S extend the boom and LMB and RMB move the boom up and down. Compared to the mobile crane, the Utility Truck's crane is considerably stronger. It has a ton more power in its grip and can lift much heavier objects without upsetting the truck's balance(it's also indestructable).
Performance[]
The Utility Truck is a beast. A huge machine for those who need to transport the heaviest of loads, the Utility Truck also doubles as one of the biggest vehicles in the game, making even the Tank look small by comparison.
The Utility Truck isn't a particularly agile vehicle. Its length makes taking tight corners a challenge while its size makes it impossible to manuever in tight spaces. Its top speed is disappointing and it's also quite cumbersome to operate, necessitating the driver to constantly switch between piloting the truck or the crane if they wish to use it for its intended purpose. And, for the final nail in the coffin, most maps you'll find it on are quite small, making it even more of a chore to wrestle it to your desired location.
But what's good about it? Well, it's VERY powerful. The crane reaches far and possesses enough strength to lift basically anything in the game (It can even lift itself). The whole truck is extremely durable aswell, being able to plow through obstacles with relative ease. Its problems with manuevering are somewhat negated by that, being able to shrug off any old bump or scratch against whatever surrounds it. Also, with its 8 wheels, it tackles rough terrain easily and doesn't lose grip on snow, ice or any slippery surfaces - though, that's to be expected.
Anyway, the Utility Truck is a behemoth of a vehicle. It's a slower, grander and more tiring machine to operate, especially when compared with the measly Mobile Crane, but it makes you feel invincible.
