The Telehandler is one of the many drivable Vehicles in Teardown. Its only appearances are in Villa Gordon and in the The Chase mission on Frustrum.
Design[]
The Telehandler could be based on the LM series by New Holland (although much smaller), depicting from the similar shape and accurate color scheme.
The machine starts off with two small wheels, the frame visible in the middle of them. These wheels are partially covered by small black fenders connected to a motor on the right and a cab on the left. The motor is small and has white writing on the side. The ovular cab is a bit bigger with a tiny amber beacon light perched atop it. In front of the motor and on the fender is what looks to be a mirror, visible from inside the cabin.
On the back of the vehicle right between the cab and engine is the arm, attached on the back of the vehicle. Full fenders cover the rear wheels. The arm is quite short but has long metal forks on the end of it which allowing the handler to carry items. The arm can be moved up and down using LMB and RMB(default input). Strangely, the machine does not have any lights. The Telehandler does not have any exhaust pipes and is painted in a cerulean blue with white lettering and metal accents.
Performance[]
The Telehandler is a strange vehicle in that it does not have much of a purpose. It is not very fast, it is not good at offroading, it is not durable and its arm does not provide much in terms of helpfulness. Even when fully extended the arm cannot reach very far and it is unable to pick up heavy items such as cars. As a bridge the vehicle is not effective either because (as mentioned above) the arm cannot reach far and it would be better just to use planks.
However, there is one thing that is positive for the Telehandler: the front forks are invulnerable to any damage. They can be used to stab through walls and inflict minor damage but doing that is not very effective. Even if the handler were to make a hole large enough to drive through, the massive amount of debris left behind will get the machine stuck. This is due to its low ground clearance and FWD drivetrain, coupled with low power output. Its terrible performance and lack of use may explain why it only appears on one map.
