The Station Wagon is one of the many drivable Vehicles in Teardown. Its first appearance is in Lee Chemicals.
Design[]
The Station Wagon appears to be based off of the Mercedes-Benz W123 Estate, particularly the 300TD version, as the car's sound is similar to that of a diesel engine. The front of the car starts off with a narrow license plate sitting below a large chrome grille, housed between a pair of large headlights, with indicators on the sides, all incased in glass. The hood has a large triangular bulge on it, which progressively gets wider the closer it gets to the large, heavily slanted windshield. The large windshield is joined by a pair of chrome mirrors on its sides. The car is a station wagon with 5 doors, a spacious light-grey interior with a large cargo area in the rear and a low roofline with wide windows. The car has small steel wheels, wrapped in medium profile tires.
On the rear of the car is a large hatch(which cannot be opened) with a wide rear window. On the top of the window are three small brake lights, which glow pink. Lower on the hatch is a center license plate between large rear light units, which each hold lights in this arrangement: a small taillight on the bottom, a larger reverse light above it, a same-size brake light above the reversing light and an indicator to the side of the reversing light, all covered with glass. There is a small cut in the body in the space between the hatch and the rear bumper. The Station Wagon has a single exhaust pipe, under the bumper and to the left. The Station Wagon is painted in a two-tone color scheme of marine blue, with a lighter tone covering its lower half.
Performance[]
The Station Wagon's performance is below average. It has a high top speed, but its acceleration is slow. It has a FWD drivetrain, which makes its turning ability not very good. It is difficult to drift the vehicle, even with the handbrake. It has a light off-roading ability, as it has decent ground clearance and a fairly short wheelbase, but its wheels are quite small and its rear end sticks out quite a bit, heavily hurting the approach and departure angle. Its durability is poor as the car has a lot of glass pieces and is a smaller vehicle in terms of size. The Station Wagon is also pretty rare, only appearing on three maps and not in every mission.
Trivia[]
- The Station Wagon is one of the three cars in-game with a modern version (the Modern Station Wagon), the others being the Jacobi SL and the Van.
- The dimensions of this vehicle are 4.7m by 1.7m.
- Several police versions of the Station Wagon can be seen in Lee Chemicals in a news cutscene after The Chase is completed.
