Sandbox is one of the core Game Modes in Teardown.
Description[]
The Sandbox game mode allows players to freely explore and play with environments and tools of their choosing. There are no time limits and the full potential of the game's engine can be realized.
Upgrades, weapons and maps are transferred over from the Campaign to the Sandbox, meaning that one has to play through the game in order to unlock more sandbox environments, and upgrade their rank to unlock tools to use in the Sandbox, unless specified in settings. Unlike in regular play, in the Sandbox there are no ammo limitations, meaning every weapon can be used infinitely. Due to this, entire maps can be torn down from scratch, leaving nothing but the bare ground visible. The Sandbox can also be used to try out upgrades for one's arsenal or test newly acquired weapons. The Sandbox versions of maps change the layout of vehicles and which of them are available, and sometimes add special vehicles to the maps. A small list of special vehicles can be found below:
- Monster Truck (Every map except for the Cullington)
- Modern Station Wagon (Villa Gordon and Evertides Mall exclusive)
- Yacht (West Point Marina and Isla Estocastica exclusive)
- Jacobi SL (Frustrum and Evertides Mall exclusive)
- LTS Van (Cullington exclusive)
- Cement Truck (Cullington exclusive)
Note: All articles on this wiki concerning Maps are written about their sandbox counterparts, and the vehicles listed on their pages are in the Sandbox mode. In Campaign gameplay you will encounter different vehicles on your journey, even ones that do not appear in the Sandbox.
