The Race Boat is one of the many Vehicles in Teardown. Its first appearance is on the West Point Marina.
Design[]
The Race Boat is a speedboat(no particular manufacturer). It has a plumb bow with a long hull covered by a wooden deck, giving it a shoe-like shape. Half of the boat is the bow itself, and the cockpit starts at about the half-way point. A windshield sits in front of the seats, split into three separate components.
Past the windshield the cockpit gets progressively lower until reaching the stern, which is flat and very small. Two triangular windows are set on the sides of the control center. The bottom of the boat is flat and slightly rounded. The Race Boat is painted in an orange color with white accents, a beige deck and a navy blue keel.
Performance[]
The Race Boat is the second-fastest boat in Teardown, only being beat by the Speedboat. It handles much better compared to that vehicle, but has a lower top speed. It's not actually that fast, however it accelerates very quick and makes it seem so. It's handling is much like a toned-down version of the Speedboat, and it is a smaller boat aswell so it steers leagues ahead of the former. Durability is still terrible(mostly made of wood, one of 3 vehicles that can be taken out of action by the sledge) and the heavy speed reduction problem is especially prevalent in the Race Boat.
Trivia[]
- In The GPS devices mission, a Race Boat is on a trailer being towed by a Taskmaster. It has a GPS device on it's stern. The boat is still functional and can be removed from the trailer and driven in the water. This boat is also missing the center window of the windshield.
