A favor | Just so you know, I don't usually do this, but I'm stuck on a case and I feel like I should try something new. I've been investigating Lawrence Lee Junior over tax evasion for months now, but he has so many friends in town that I can't get a warrant. How about you use your skills to "borrow" the computers over at Lee Chemicals so that I can finally access his customer registry and sort this mess out. If you do this for me, I'll make sure your little blunder will be forgotten. |
Login devices | The customer registry indicates that Lee has worked almost exclusively with a single client recently. The client is only referred to as BT and no further details, so I really have to bother you with one more favor. Head back to Lee Chemicals and fetch their employee login devices. I should be able to cross reference their log files with the delivery schedule to figure out where they are moving the product and what BT means. I heard they installed a new security system. Be careful. |
GPS | I've been up all night digging through the login devices and managed to find a connection to the West Point Marina. I haven't been able to figure out more on BT, but Lee has a warehouse in West Point. I guess whatever fishy business he is up to, the marina is not his final destination. I was thinking that the boat GPS can give me a idea where he is moving the product, especially if I could compare their recent destinations to the shipping log. Can you get them for me? |
Re: GPS | Still need those GPS devices... would be a shame to open that demolition investigation again wouldn't it? |
Need decryption key | Thanks for taking care of the GPS devices. Just one problem - they seem to be of a new, more secure type and I can't find out their recent locations without the decryption key. My best bet is that Lee keeps the decryption key in his office safe, but it might also be in the production safe. I have one last favor to ask you and I think you already know what that might be. |
Re: Heavy lifting | Thanks. Now I just need to find someone who can work a safe. I'll get back to you in a bit and let you know how it goes. |
BlueTide | Guess what! I managed to decrypt the GPS locations and it pointed me to Hollowrock Island. An old fish processing plant now making some kind of energy drink. BT is short for BlueTide! Why didn't I think of that before? My daughter is totally addicted to that disgusting, sugary sludge. I'm here right now. It's a bit worn down, but pretty (better than image, I'm still trying to figure out the mobile telephone camera). Most of the island is closed off for visitors and they don't seem very interested in answering questions. I need to find out where the Lee payments go and if I could just have a look in the BlueTide computers that might bring some clarity. I was hoping you could do me this last favour? Sent from mobile |
Satellite dishes | I've been going through the BlueTide computers and I think I'm onto something. This might actually be bigger than I first thought and goes way deeper than just Lee. BlueTide is controlled by someone called Mr Amanatides but there are no official records on him. Like he didn't exist! A lot of information is deleted from the computers, but I remember seeing satellite dishes on some of the buildings and got this idea to hack them and download the communication data directly. I know I said before there wouldn't be any more favors, but this really is the last one. By the way.. seems they didn't appreciate our last visit because BlueTide just filed a security report for an armed guard helicopter. Be safe. |
Flooding at Lee | Sorry to contact you again. I was just going through the satellite data when I heard about the dam break at Lee. I've been waiting for an opportunity to get a hold of Lee's accounting. It's the last missing piece in my Lee investigation. He has kept it hidden in various places, but right now the whole place is flooded due to some accident at the power plant and he moved everything upstairs. The site is completely empty at the moment so this is a golden opportunity to get a hold of those documents. |
Re: Flooding at Lee | I just heard on the police radio that the chopper chased you down the river. ARE YOU OKAY? |
Here we go again... | Long time no see! After the Lee case was closed I didn't really dig further into BlueTide and Mr Amanatides, but just recently we've gotten several toxicology reports indicating there is something in the energy drink that clearly shouldn't be there. Our addictometer maxed out, and that thing isn't even very sensitive (just tried it on my morning coffee, no reaction).
Can you head over to Hollowrock and get clean samples of the secret ingredients? It would help us identify exactly what it is that he's mixing in and from where he's getting it. By the way, I heard they closed a deal with RoboSec recently. Stay safe. |
Evertides | We found something! Turns out the ingredients you brought back from Hollowrock contains an unknown, highly addictive chemical. One of the samples still had the shipping label on and it's coming from Evertides Mall. Did some digging into the ownership structure of the mall and got a match on one of Amanatides holding companies.
He's using the mall as repackaging central, so the chemical must be sent to Evertides from somewhere, repackaged and then passed on to Hollowrock. Could you pay a visit to Evertides and get me the shipping logs? I have a lot of dirt on Amanatides already, but without the source of his chemical there's not much I can do. |
Up for a trip? | The shipping logs gave a hit. A very distant hit actually. How would you feel about leaving the cold weather for a trip to the Muratori Islands? It'll be like a free vacation! Well... almost. |
Disable alarm system | Hope you have settled in after the long flight, and sorry about the rest of your tools. I just couldn't find a way getting them through security.
My contact at the local PD gave me some intel on their alarm system. We need to shut it off in order to access their storage rooms. The alarm system can only be disabled unnoticed if the terminals are hacked within one minute. It's a bit of a run, but I have faith in you. |
Move barrels | Great that you managed to shut off the alarm. We need to proceed quickly before the night shift starts. Move the barrels from their storage rooms to secure evidence. Bring them with you and the local PD will have them shipped to me. |
Breaking supply chain | I just got a note from the local PD. The barrels are secured and being shipped to Löckelle at this very moment! I have just one last thing to ask before you can return home. There is already a shortage of BlueTide and if we manage to cut the supply chain for this key ingredient we could keep it off the shelves until I have a case against Amanatides.
You didn't hear this from me, but causing a bit of havoc to the Muratori operation would probably do the trick. The guards must have already noticed your visit by now, so you might want to stay out of sight. |
Time to head back home | I heard you did a good job! Enjoy your last day in the sun before heading back home. |
Last piece | The barrels from your trip arrived. We have almost everything we need to file a case against Amanatides, but there's this one piece still missing. To secure evidence for a connection to the drug lab in Muratori we need to download their communication data. It's transmitted from the mall, but encrypted through multiple antennas, so we need simultaneous coverage to succeed. Could you find a way to get good coverage with the surveillance van? |
Hollowrock raid | We finally have a case! I got the warrant and I'm preparing the raid against Hollowrock - just one minor problem. It seems Amanatides has upgraded security once again and I'm not sure it's safe for us to head over there uninvited.
I know how this may sound, but we've come this far haven't we? Could you pay a visit and make sure the place is safe before we show up tomorrow? |
Case closed | We got him! I can't believe this is all over! We managed to make the arrest just as he was trying to sneak out through a hidden exit. If this was legit and all I'd make sure you were given a medal, but the way things panned out, eternal glory and respect from Löckelle's next Chief Deputy is all I have to offer. Well done!
