- Not to be confused with the armoured Missile Launcher.
The Military Van is one of the many drivable Vehicles in Teardown. Its first appearance is in the Evertides Mall, in the Covert Chaos mission.
Design[]
The Military van is based on the Volvo C303(also known as the Terrängbil 11 or Tgb 11 in the Swedish armed forces). It has a very compact and square body shape.
The front of the van starts off with a very small bumper complimented by a set of small headlights. A set of small slits act as the grille of the vehicle. Warning lights are perched above the headlights. A large windshield occupies a large portion of the front, being split into two halves by a small pillar. Body-colored mirrors are right behind it.
The sides of the vehicle are taken up by four large wheels, the rears having a set of mud flaps. Exhaust fumes come from between them, right under the back bumper. A pair of large reversing lights are above the bumper as well as a pair of miniscule brake lights. One spare tire is set on the hatch. The Military Van is painted in a desaturated light green color.
Performance[]
The Military Van's performance is pitifully terrible. It isn't fast whatsoever, having a low top speed and very sluggish acceleration. It doesn't handle well either, being top-heavy and keen to flip over when cornering. Not only that, but the van's durability is also very lacking, so some amount of care must be taken while driving it. Good luck attempting that with the garbage handling. The only advantage it has over other vehicles is its better ground clearance and AWD drivetrain, enabling it to handle rougher terrain a little better. Though, even with the better ride height, it isn't powerful enough to get over hills easily.
Overall, the Military Van is not a good vehicle. Suffering in terms of speed, durability and handling, it isn't useful in most places, but the extra ground clearance might come in handy somewhere.
