Evertides Mall is a map that was introduced in the 0.7 beta.
Descripton
Before, it was a campaign-specific map, without a beach, and a parking garage instead of a foodcourt. It has a few apartments around the area. It is considered one of the most detailed maps in the game.
Layout
There are 3 buildings, a construction site, a large car park, a concert area and a beach.
Mall
The main mall consists of 4 floors. The ground floor contains 2 warehouse area, 1 connected to a BlueTide store. The first floor has 2 islands and a bridge to the foodcourt. On the third floor, there are 2 islands, the smallest containing nothing but stairs to the third floor. The third floor has 4 islands, the smallest having a small potted plant.
Ground Floor
The large warehouse has a waste room with 6 plastic dustbins, boxes, liquid containers and some clear, passable walls. There is a supermarket with a frozen food area called ooP. The BlueTide store contains various things in blue, with a mini gym and some information screens. In its warehouse are some yellow barrels. Opposite, is a clothes store with a small changing room. There are 2 toilets and a Quilez Security store that contains safes. The final store seems to be a convenience store. Along with the stores, there are several trees and a purple Eurus IV XXF on display, as well as the entrance/exit.
1st Floor
On the biggest island is 4 clothing stores, one with a changing room. There is also an electronics store, with computers bearing a resemblance to those produced by Apple. Also on the island is an entrance to the mall. On the second island there is a small gallery with 3 paintings with a room with bookshelves, 2 toilets and a clothing store without a storage room.
2nd Floor
The first store has the acronym "TN" and has jewelry. The second store sells watches, the third points to office supplies and has no storage room. There is a second jewelry and a TV store. The final 2 stores are "Dutt", a furniture store, and "G3/GB", an art gallery whose office contains a whiteboard saying "Scout art that is more yellow". There is a bridge that leads to an office with a kitchen and an office with a whiteboard that says "Order new 'No skateboarding' signs". There is another entrance/exit.
3rd Floor
The first island has a restaurant, a room with bookshelves with paper boxes, a toilet and a foliage area. The second island contains a bridge to an an outside view and a child's play area. The third island contains a server room, an office and an office bathroom, also the spawn location.
Food court
On the bridge between the mall and the food court, there are billboards advertising "Dark Moon" and "City Lights". On the roof behind the bridge sign, there is a lone barrel. There are 2 floors, an outside area with a child's play area. Each floor has 3 shops. 4 floors have explosive propane tanks hidden inside(All 3 on the ground, 1 on the first floor).
Ground Floor
There are 2 toilets, several chairs, tables and a long line of seating. There is a revolving door, a sliding door and a metal door. The first shop is "BAM", a fire themed fast food restaurant. It is also the largest, with a storage area and an outside door. It advertises large fries with a "Bamhurger". The second shop is simply "Pizza", whose motto is "Life is nice with a pizza slice!". Its banners are in the Italian tricolour. It advertises "Octa Fromaggio" and a szechuan mango sauce(Unknown if related to the one popularised by Rick and Morty). It has a storage room, and 3 propane tanks(2 in the grill). There is also a pizza oven and a kebab station. The final store is "TacoTaco", which advertises extra guacamole on "Taco Tuesday". While there is no storage room, it makes up for this with 2 cabinets. Outside is an anthropomorphic carrot.
1st Floor
The first shop is called "Iced!". Outside is a spinning ice cream which has the tooltip "Looks good but there's no time for that", reminiscent of the Villa Gordon popcorn machine. The second store is the "Loading bar", which advertises the "Löckelle Garge-blaster". The final shop is called "Kingbab", a kebab store, which advertises a free BlueTide with every meal and freshly shaved kebabs. There is a revolving door which leads to the mall.
Boon
Boon is an oceanside restaurant which can house 22 people inside. It is presumed to be booked. There are 2 toilets, one in the kitchen and one for the public. Outside, there is a balcony with lamps, with stairs leading to the beach.
Beach
The beach is a new addition to 0.7, along with the food court and construction site assets. There are night lights at the back, with 4 umbrellas, and 6 wooden deckchairs. The middle area contains beer bottles and abandoned shopping carts, along with a modern Jacobi SL. At the west walkway is an ice cream van with benches, some with umbrellas.
Car park
The car park is very insignificant, but has many vehicles to play around with. Dotted around are several trolley spaces and billboards, some empty, some not. One change from 0.6 is the addition of the walkway to the concert, lined with Evertides banners.
Concert
The concert does not appear in The old building problem. To the left, are 4 green porta-potties with waste inside, next to a forklift. The main structure is surrounded by metal fencing, a European semitruck, 2 shipping containers and an explosive diesel generator. The front stage is lit with several lights, and has the instruments. The backstage is very dirty, littered with beer bottles and clothes.
Construction site
The site first appears in Covert chaos, despite the news report appearing after The chase. There is a red shipping container filled with propane tanks, a construction container owned by the Wolfe construction company. At the main site, there is some water, piping, concrete pillars and a metal frame. The Monster Truck appears here, but is blocked by a Dump Truck.
Story
Part One
Evertides Mall is managed by art collector and racing enthusiast Gordon Woo. In pursuit of expansion, Woo contacts underperforming demolition company Löckelle Teardown Services to illegally destroy a cultural heritage site.
After Fine arts, owner of the Wolfe Construction Company Anton Wolfe is making little progress in replacing the food court with a parking garage. Wolfe seeks to sway the decision making progress by destroying the food court while the fireworks are ongoing. |
Part Two
BlueTide ingredients stolen from Hollowrock Island contain a shipping label from Evertides, which is partly owned by holding companies owned by Mr Amanatides, so the player is ordered by Parisa Terdiman to steal shipping logs from there. Amanatides is infurated at the manager for the mall's poor security and Gordon Woo is fired.
After Woo is fired, he opens a theme park on the site of Lee Chemicals and asks the player to assist in its opening by stealing Christmas decorations from Evertides. The logs reveal the ingredients to be from a drug lab in the Muratori Islands, and to secure evidence for the link, a van is used to download data from the mall. This results in catastrophic damage to the mall, and it is closed along with Anton Wolfe's contract for the parking garage. |
