"A generally mediocre car with no features or specifications to talk about. Maybe that is prone to flip in tight corners..."
- Description in Drive to survive

The Drab 75 is one of the many drivable Vehicles in Teardown. It first appears in the West Point Marina.

Design[]

The Drab 75's appearance looks closest to the Opel Vectra A and Volvo 900 Series. The front end of the car is low to the ground, and has a large unpainted front bumper, housing a blank license plate. Sitting right above the bumper are a set of large headlight units, covered by glass, with indicators in the corners. In the middle of the car is a large black grille, right between the headlights. The hood slopes up greatly to reach the narrow windshield, with two large(presumably plastic) mirrors accompanying it. The roof of the car is black, with a red stripe near the back. It is a sedan with 4 doors, with plastic trim around the fenders and skirts. A long strip of plastic trim is on the side of the car. It has small steel wheels, wrapped in thin tires.

Closer to the back of the car, the roof joins to the flat trunk with a small rear windshield. The rear light unit holds a small taillight above a reversing light, with a large brake light down below which glows white, closer to the trunk, all covered with glass. Another unpainted bumper sits right below the light units, housing another blank license plate. The Drab 75 has one exhaust pipe, with exhaust smoke coming from below the bumper, to the left. It is painted in a light red color accompanied by an abundance of grey trim.

Performance[]

The Drab 75's performance, much like its appearance, isn't special in any way. It is very easy to drive. It has an RWD drivetrain and takes corners without fuss or issues. It accelerates decently fast and it has a surprisingly high top speed. It handles somewhat like a toned-down version of the Cayuse 550 (which it also shares its top speed with). It doesn't drive very well off-road, and its durability is average.

Note: One special handling trait of the car is present in its Drive to survive version. True to its description in said game mode, the Drab has a tendency to flip while taking sharp corners.

Overall, the Drab is an all-around decent car. It doesn't excel in any field, but it's very common, being found on most maps. When you've got no other choice, the Drab is perfectly fine.

Trivia[]

  • The word "Drab" in the car's name may be a reference to modern sedans. The definition of drab is "dull", and it may be referring to the repetitive and often boring design of most modern cars.
  • Instead of a bus, a taxi version of the Drab brings the player back to their home after completing all of the missions on Isla Estocastica.
  • A total of three unique paint jobs can be found across the game, of which two are driveable. One is split into two colors, aqua with white trunk, hood and ceiling and two darker blue colored stripes giving it a GT finish, which can be found towing a Roulette in Quilez Security exclusive to freeroam; the second one is a dark green colored one with the areas that are normally gray painted in an even darker green, which can be found in an RV park in Cullington; and the last one having the aforementioned taxi livery and glowing sign, tough it shares attributes with the bus and therefore renders unusable. This makes it one of the vehicles with most variants in the game, behind the Van.
